Esri ArcGIS Runtime SDKs

Hi all -
The folks from Esri are excited to see your cool ideas come to life at the Wearable World Connected Airport event! ArcGIS Runtime is a suite of SDKs that can add a variety of spatial functionality to your apps: from basic map visualization to complex spatial analysis. You can leverage professional GIS maps and services hosted by Esri, and/or create your own spatial data services for consumption in your app.

To get started:
1) Sign up for a free developers account: https://developers.arcgis.com/en/sign-up/
This will give you unlimited hosting space for your spatial data services and full access to all the ArcGIS SDKs! You'll also get 50 credits for working with and hosting services ... if you need more, see us at the event.

2) Choose your SDK. We offer web APIs, such as REST, JavaScript, Silverlight, and Flex, as well as native APIs, such as iOS, Android, .NET, Qt, and others. Download any or all of the SDKs with your free developer account.

3) Consult the documentation to get the basics. You'll find plenty of examples and tutorials to get you up and running!

4) Upload your own data to create spatial services: https://developers.arcgis.com/en/hosted-data/
You can create spatial data from tables of addresses or geographic coordinates. You can even digitize your own using an online map viewer.

5) Check out some live samples for inspiration. Our JavaScript samples are available live with all code. Some can even be run in an online sandbox for tweaking and testing with your own data.

We'll be available at the event to offer guidance if needed, but feel free to email if you have questions in the meantime: ttilton@esri.com.
Oh yeah ... we're also offering $1,000 for the best use of Esri tech!
